BD Medical

WFL were contracted for a Design & Build contract to supply the Mechanical & Electrical Infrastructure for the new Posi Line Extra Sterile Production Hall at the BD Medical site in Drogheda.

This project was undertaken in a live medical device production plant. The new production line is supported by a new CHP plant, steam boilers, chillers, and Electrical Distribution System.

As part of the BD Medical effort to reduce and rationalise energy consumption, WFL supplied and installed 1.5 MW CHP, with a Jenbacher 420 Gas engine, and new MV switchgear as part of the Energy Infrastructure.

This system was integrated into the BD Water, Gas, Steam and Electricity supplies.
